Scarlet by Kim Hargreaves is out now

Kim Hargreaves’ new book Scarlet has just been published and our copies were delivered yesterday. Scarlet has 21 knitting patterns for women including cardigans, sweaters and accessories.

Kim’s last book, Shadows, was a bit different to earlier designs and to be honest didn’t really appeal to me. However I think with Scarlet, Kim is back to her best and there are several designs that I’d like to add to my queue.

Our copies of Shadows by Kim Hargreaves have finally arrived. For some unknown reason, Coats cancelled my original order! But it’s here at last.

The patterns in this collection are little different I think. They have a boyish/masculine feel to them, which might not be to everyone’s taste, but there are few designs that I’m quite struck by, such as these:

Whisper by Kim Hargreaves

Whisper, Kim Hargreaves’ new book for Spring 2011 has finally arrived! It contains 21 knitting patterns for Summer, all of which are either photographed in black or white or grey (although you can of course knit them in any colour you like). The contrast in colours is mirrored in the designs themselves which are minimal and edgy as well as pretty and feminine.

All the yarns used are Rowan Yarns including: Fine Milk Cotton, Siena 4 ply, Cotton Glace, Pima Cotton, Kidsilk Haze, Lenpur Linen, Handknit Cotton and All Seasons Cotton.

It’s finally here – Kim Hargreaves’ latest book “Winter Blooms” was delivered to the shop this afternoon. It’s taken longer than anticipated but there is still time to get a copy for Christmas.

Precious is the latest book from Kim Hargreaves. It includes 21 knitwear designs ranging from sweaters and cardigans for women, a couple of sweaters for men, as well as berets and a pretty shawl.

The yarns used are all Rowan yarns: Pure Cashmere DK, Kidsilk Haze, Kidsilk Aura, Pima Cotton DK, Cashsoft 4Ply, Cashsoft Aran, Wool Cotton, Kid Classic, Felted Tweed, and Big Wool.
