Hulu is a family-run business based in South Devon in the South West of England that started trading at the beginning of 2009. We love all types of crafting but have a particular passion for knitting and sewing, which is why we decided to set up this shop.
We want to provide our knitters and crocheters with a range of quality yarns and accessories as well as selling top quality fabric for people who like to sew, make quilts or patchwork items.
We are committed to making your shopping experience on our website as easy and enjoyable as possible. We offer discounts and special offers whenever we can to try and keep the prices down. If you have any suggestions on ways in which can be improve our website, we’d be glad to receive them.
Our business is located in the town of Modbury in Devon. On May 1st 2007, Modbury hit the international headlines as being the first UK town to turn its back on plastic shopping bags. All of the Modbury traders stopped issuing plastic bags and started selling reuseable, and biodegradable bags instead. Local residents tend to bring their own fabric bags when they shop.
Hulu is keen to fall in line with the Modbury traders policies and as such have chosen to use to use mailing bags which are 100% recyclable and jiffy bags which are made from recycled materials. Occasionally we may use clear self-seal plastic bags within your order and these are made from 95% recycled films and contain a biodegradable additive called Biothene. Sadly we can't really do much about prepackaged items that come into the store, but we can be careful about what packaging we send out. If you would like to know more about the plastic bag free campaign then please visit the dedicated website at www.plasticbagfree.com
To all of you, from all of us at Hulu - Thank you and Happy Crafting!
